I think Brennan is replacing Donovan and Donovan is trade bait.

Conacher I actually like for a pickup, but don't want him automatically slotted as a top 6 like we always do.

Unless bodies are moved, I don't even see a place for him in the top 9.

Honestly the forwards know they are playing in front of a solid goaltending tandem. I'm sure Snow and Wang are trying to address the D and offers were made to Strahlman, Boyle and others but yes the other teams like Tampa had friends like Callahan on them and were closer to playoff contention.

I have a feeling the D is being addressed which should help the present group of forwards. Snow, Capuano, Weight, Klatt, Wang and company know the situation.

Like I've said before they have to pull of a Gagne like move where they deal draft picks with lower level players on the team to a team in Cap hell. Target Boychuk, Oduya,Leddy and Sharp. Make them 3 for one deals who cares.

while we do have all summer for these two key players to be found, the longer snow waits the more chance there is that another team may step in to work a trade with the teams looking to shed cap.

Patience may cost us the opportunity. wait too long and those teams work with someone else, those players are gone and we're back wading through the bargain bin looking at recycled garbage.

Yes I know we have time, but these exact things were said last year and nothing further was done.

It is like he waits on purpose so he don't have to do anything. then comes out with the great line well we tried our best

my issue is that when the Vanek trade was made, our glaring weaknesses were goaltending and defense. Huge red flags, emergency flares, flashing lights. He did nothing to address that then, so I'm supposed to have patience for him now? No chance. Show me you're serious Garth, otherwise you can walk up to the podium and announce the mcdavid selection for buffalo.

Don't expect much from Conacher. When he does not score you don't get much else, and he does not score that often.

Burst on to the scene with Stamkos and since being moved off of that line has found very little success in Tampa, Ottawa and Buffalo.

I agree this year he had to do something thanks to that trade. If he fails and the Islanders are a bottom five team again then he has to be fired

98 days till the season begins. Whats everyone worried about?
Garth always comes through. Just look at his track record. Its all there. He has his playoff contender built and will only add pieces, with the many assets available, if it will improve the team. Charles has NEVER said no to him for offering big money. Enjoy the Summer. The team is set. See u at the beach!

He's fiesty and competes I will give him that. I was pumped the Sabres picked him up, being a local boy. But there was not much there.

Maybe he can find some success/chemistry on the island
